Cinema Iride Lugano, 21th March, 6:00PM

You are all welcomed to our first charity event of the year! The movie evening “Land of mine”, that will take place in Cinema Iride, Lugano, the 21th of March starting at 6:00PM. Land of Mine is a drama movie shot by the Danish director Martin Zandvliet. [Click HERE to display the flyer]

 

 

In post-World War II Denmark, a group of young German POWs are forced to clear a beach with thousands of land mines under the watch of a Danish Sergeant who slowly learns to appreciate their plight”. Based on real history and invites us to reflect upon the violation of human rights.

Suggested age: 14 years old. At the end of the movie there will be a solidarity aperitif.

The donations received during this charity event will be devolved to our local and international projects that we support: “Petali di Pace”, an after-school program for school children in Ticino. And our international project:  a feeding program for needy children of Paombong, and the construction of a multipurpose center in the Philippines where we can provide to the needy: food programs, health examinations and education programs.
