After two years of forced standstill due to the pandemic, the Association Culture Ticino Network of Lugano starts again with a solidarity Concert dedicated to “World Peace”: with the extraordinary participation of the Filipino baritone Joseleo C. Logdat, who has received several international awards and recognitions, and the extraordinary violinist Natalia Carpenco, of Moldovan origin, who collaborates with several important international musicians. You are therefore all invited to participate on Thursday 12th May 2022 at 20:00 at the San Carlo Borromeo church in via Nassa 26, 6900 Lugano.
Entrance to the event is free and we recommend the use of a mask.
We present you:
Joseleo C. Logdat, a baritone originally from the Philippines, winner of numerous international awards, including two Aliw Awards, one as Best Performer in 2020 and one as Best Male Classical Performer in 2019. He has performed with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and many other prestigious international orchestras. He has also collaborated with numerous artists, embassies and performed in different parts of the world, including: Japan, Austria, Geneva, Romania, Italy, Spain and Australia. During the pandemic, he also launched his own TV talk show in the Philippines with the aim of promoting local artists and musicians.
Natalia Carpenco, a renowned violinist from Moldova, has participated in several competitions and festivals in Romania, Moldova and Ukraine. She collaborates with various musicians, including pianist Antonio Davì, playing pieces by Ennio Morricone. She has recently joined the famous Trio LiberTré and today she is also dedicated to Italian Swing with the duo “LE UNIO”, performing in squares and theatres with their show “Quei meravigliosi anni 50 e d’intorni”.
Malou Rauto, a talented Filipino pianist, graduated in Music with a major in Piano Performance from the University of Sto Tomas in the Philippines. She has extensive professional experience having performed several times live at the Philippine Dance Theater in Manila and at the Ballet School of Tita Radaic at St Theresa’s College in Manila. In addition, she is a piano teacher at St. Theresa’s Music School and Maestro Gianni Zari’s School of Dance in Milan, Italy.
The proceeds of this solidarity event will be donated to the neediest people in Ticino, “Tavolino Magico“, and to our Association’s solidarity project “Professional training in the gastronomy sector to support the start-up of independent activities in the Province of Bulacan, Philippines“.
