On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the Cinema Iride in Lugano, the Culture Ticino Network Association screened the multi-award-winning film directed by Danish director Martin Zandvliet.
“In May 1945, a group of German prisoners of war was sent by the Danish authorities with the order to remove over two million mines that the Germans had buried in the sand along the coast.” This is a true story that was kept hidden for many years.
After the screening, a profound reflection on human rights violations followed, featuring Prof. em. Dr. Marina Cattaruzza, a historian and member of the Council of the University of Italian Switzerland.
