This year’s edition of “Walking for Peace” has been enriched by the Solidarity Concert “Notes for Peace”, which will take place in Lavena Ponte Tresa. Its goal is to raise awareness and building new cultural bridges between the two borders, giving a central role to the younger generations.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Italian-Swiss committee for their collaboration, as well as to the Italian and Swiss municipalities that have supported and sponsored us, including: Bioggio, Caslano, Agno, Tresa, Lavena Ponte Tresa, Luino, and local schools. Please refer to the official event poster, which will be published in the coming weeks, for the full list of partners.
In this historical period, with more than 60 conflicts worldwide, it is crucial to join forces and give a voice to those who can no longer speak.
The Walk aims to raise awareness about peace by involving schoolchildren, the local community, Insubric authorities and cross-border authorities.
Education for a culture of peace and non-violence, kindness, and solidarity is fundamental in building a fairer world that respects the rights of all people, especially future generations.

Peace is not simply the absence of war, but the active presence of justice, hope, opportunity and love for the other. Educating for peace means teaching how to build bridges of dialogue and understanding, welcoming differences not as obstacles but as riches. It is a path that requires perseverance and responsibility, but it paves the way for a future in which every child can grow up without fear, free to express themselves, develop their talents and contribute to a more just and supportive society.
The “WALKING FOR PEACE”, is a concrete opportunity for encounter and reflection, where every step becomes a symbolic action toward a more peaceful and harmonious world. Peace is based on listening and the willingness to understand the other person, step by step a more just and supportive society can take shape.
We invite you to participate in large numbers, together with friends and family, to experience a special day and contribute, all together, to building a better future.

Every gesture, no matter how small it may seem, has the power to bring us closer to a future without conflict. It is only by walking together, united by the will to build peace, that we can break down barriers and create a more just and inclusive world.
Events like this are not just a way to get together, but are valuable moments of sharing, growth and inspiration. They are opportunities to hear new voices, discover different points of view and be touched by stories of commitment and hope. Participating means being an active part of change: even a smile or a kind word can make a difference.
Peace begins with each of us, in small everyday gestures. Together, these steps can turn into a movement that can really change things.
We look forward to seeing you enthusiastically: don’t miss it!
