SOLIDARITY CONCERT FOR PEACE

SOLIDARITY CONCERT FOR PEACE

You are all warmly invited to this extraordinary solidarity concert for peace that will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 7 pm:30 at the beautiful Church of S. Antonio Abate in Lugano and which will open a series of important events for peace that will take place during the year 2025 with renowned guests.

In this historic time, with over 60 conflicts around the world, it is crucial that we come together for a right cause, unite our efforts, and give a voice to those who today with war and poverty no longer have.

We look forward to seeing many of you at this first event, featuring performances by:

  • The choir of the Montessori School “La Casa di Irma” from Bedano
  • The choir “Cantori della Turrita” from Bellinzona
  • The choir “La Musica” of Julia Gertseva

This will also be an opportunity for Margherita Maffeis-Natale, President and Founder of the Culture Ticino Network Association of Lugano, to provide all the information about upcoming solidarity events 2025.

The “Crescendo Cantando” Choir of the Montessori School “Casa di Irma” Bedano is directed by the talented music teacher Barbara Busana.

The school choir won a few years ago the competition of our Association with the song “Il battito del cuore”, which was awarded thanks to the originality of the piece and the idea of peace defined by our hearts beating in unison.

The “Cantori della Turrita” Choir of Bellinzona, directed by Director Daniela Beltraminelli, is a non-profit singing school based on volunteer work. The school offers young people the chance to engage in group musical activities while also fostering social interaction and friendship.

The choir performs concerts with a polyphonic repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the present day, including a variety of musical genres.

In 2015 Julia Gertseva founded the “La Musica” cultural educational project in Lugano with the aim of teaching vocal technique, interpretation, scenic movement and to make students learn the secrets of theatrical presentation.

It is a construction and training program that provides advanced discipline to allow children a future artistic path.

The chorus of white voices “La Musica” during these years has participated in numerous concerts and charity events of our Association Culture Ticino Network.

Please note that admission is free, and the proceeds from the evening will be donated to our projects in Ticino and the Philippines.
