It is a big joy for us of the Associazione Culture Ticino Network of Lugano, Switzerland, and of the Associazione Culture Ticino & Philippines Association of Paombong, Philippines, to inform you that, on February 26, 2024 at the TESDA Korea-Philippines Information Technology Training Center (KPITTC) of Guiguinto, in the Bulacan Region – Philippines, took place the ceremony of delivery of national certificates in the field “Bread and Pastry Production NC II”.
Thanks to our scholarships, 20 students were able to attend training in the bakery and pastry production, which began in December 2023 and ended in February 2024 in Paombong. In order to obtain their certificates, students had to take the final exams on 5 and 6 February 2024, which consisted of practical tests of what they learned during the lessons. Thanks to their strengths and abilities, the 20 students passed the exams successfully.
Our President A. Margherita Maffeis-Christmas had the pleasure of attending in a virtual way, bringing her official greetings and thanking all the people who made this project possible, including the KPITTC and especially the Provincial Director Melanie Grace T. Romero, the Administrator of the Center Kathrine R. Angeles, all the teachers, Mrs. Maria Cristina T. Gonzales and the Rotary Club of Malolos Hiyas, Councillor Calvin S. Canlas and the list of Kabayan parties, Mrs Jennifer Espinosa, the bakery-pastry Bignasca SA of Lugano and all our supporters.
President A. Margherita Maffeis-Natale also expressed significant words for the students stating that “by obtaining this important certificate ou have completed your training, but at the same time you will start a new adventure. I would like to congratulate you on what you have managed to do and I would like to wish you a better future that involves starting a job in a company or starting your own small business”. She later concluded with a quote very dear to her: “Begin by doing what is necessary, then what is possible. And suddenly you will be surprised to do the impossible. Mabuhay and so much success to all of you”.
Our Association Culture Ticino Network will continue to accompany students in the future, in their new path.
